Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Still Life Of A Bird Cage by Wee Shoo Leong. The price achieved of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,901.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Other works by Wee Shoo Leong have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2013 the work Roses/ Cage With Cups And Flowers was auctioned for HKD 81,250.00 (€ 7,710.20).

Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life Of A Bird Cage von Wee Shoo Leong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.901,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Wee Shoo Leong konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2013 die Arbeit Roses/ Cage With Cups And Flowers für HKD 81.250,00 (€ 7.710,20) versteigert.
