Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seated Crowd by Wayne Gonzales was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in London in April 2017. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,132.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wayne Gonzales have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cheering Crowd in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 45,821.11).
