Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Landscape After Wang Meng by Wang Yu was worth HKD 500,000.00 (€ 55,030.91) to a buyer in October 2017. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Wang Yu; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Landscape, After Huang Gongwang sold at auction in March 2012 with the realized price of USD 104,500.00 (€ 78,371.08).

Die Arbeit Landscape After Wang Meng von Wang Yu war einem Käufer im Oktober 2017 HKD 500.000,00 (€ 55.030,91) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00 um ein Vielfaches.
