Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Landscape by Wang Yu. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,673.79) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Yu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape, After Huang Gongwang in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 104,500.00 (€ 78,371.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape von Wang Yu zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.673,79) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Yu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape, After Huang Gongwang im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 104.500,00 (€ 78.371,08).
