This artwork by Wang Yu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2012. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Landscape after Ni Zan sold for HKD 325,000.00 (€ 33,856.36) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Yu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape, After Huang Gongwang, which sold at auction in March 2012 for USD 104,500.00 (€ 78,371.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Yu erzielte im Mai 2012 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Landscape after Ni Zan für HKD 325.000,00 (€ 33.856,36) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Yu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape, After Huang Gongwang beobachtet, die im März 2012 für USD 104.500,00 (€ 78.371,08) versteigert wurde.
