Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th C. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session, which included the work H8 by Wang Yigang. The price achieved of USD 47,500.00 (€ 43,107.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Yigang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Abstract H4, which sold at auction in February 2019 for USD 100,000.00 (€ 87,881.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th C. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit H8 von Wang Yigang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 43.107,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Yigang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Abstract H4 beobachtet, die im Februar 2019 für USD 100.000,00 (€ 87.881,18) versteigert wurde.
