Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 POLY held the auction Poly Auction Hong Kong & Macau Joint Auctions, which included the work A Yimen Girl by Wang Yidong. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 1,600,000.00 – 3,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 1,888,000.00 (€ 199,143.09) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Wang Yidong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Teasing The Newlyweds in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 19,160,000.00 (€ 1,875,549.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte POLY die Auktion Poly Auction Hong Kong & Macau Joint Auctions durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Yimen Girl von Wang Yidong zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 1.600.000,00 – 3.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 1.888.000,00 (€ 199.143,09) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Yidong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Teasing The Newlyweds im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 19.160.000,00 (€ 1.875.549,82).
