Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art Asia: Art on the Runway, which included the work The Bride; Back to Mother's Home; Bride in Waiting; & Back to Mother's Home by Wang Yidong. The price achieved of HKD 9,375.00 (€ 1,087.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 7,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Yidong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Teasing The Newlyweds in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 19,160,000.00 (€ 1,875,549.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: Art on the Runway durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Bride; Back to Mother's Home; Bride in Waiting; & Back to Mother's Home von Wang Yidong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 9.375,00 (€ 1.087,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 7.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Yidong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Teasing The Newlyweds im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 19.160.000,00 (€ 1.875.549,82).
