Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Art Day Sale, which included the work Chafing by Wang Yidong. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 800,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 819,000.00 (€ 98,166.23). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Yidong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Teasing The Newlyweds in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 19,160,000.00 (€ 1,875,549.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chafing von Wang Yidong zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 800.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 819.000,00 (€ 98.166,23) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Yidong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Teasing The Newlyweds im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 19.160.000,00 (€ 1.875.549,82).
