Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Asia: China, Korea, Japan, which included the work Fortune Teller And His Tree by Wang Yabin. The price achieved of USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,549.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Yabin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Elephant Constellation, which sold at auction in October 2015 for HKD 236,000.00 (€ 27,571.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: China, Korea, Japan durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fortune Teller And His Tree von Wang Yabin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 10.549,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Yabin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Elephant Constellation beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für HKD 236.000,00 (€ 27.571,09) versteigert wurde.
