In November 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Summit of the Goddess by Wang Yabin. The auction ended at the price of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,383.26), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 40,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Yabin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Elephant Constellation in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 236,000.00 (€ 27,571.09).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im November 2017 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Summit of the Goddess von Wang Yabin zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.383,26) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Yabin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Elephant Constellation im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 236.000,00 (€ 27.571,09).
