The work Sparkling Gold by Wang Yabin was sold in the Contemporary Art Asia auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2008. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 6,327.11) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Yabin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Elephant Constellation in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 236,000.00 (€ 27,571.09).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Sparkling Gold von Wang Yabin wurde im März 2008 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 6.327,11) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Yabin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Elephant Constellation im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 236.000,00 (€ 27.571,09).
