Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Thinker & Requesting Buddha No. 1 (Two Works) by Wang Qingsong for HKD 25,000.00 (€ 2,920.67). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Asian Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Qingsong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Follow Me in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 433,250.00 (€ 550,449.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Thinker & Requesting Buddha No. 1 (Two Works) von Wang Qingsong für HKD 25.000,00 (€ 2.920,67) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Qingsong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Follow Me im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 433.250,00 (€ 550.449,00).
