Auction result well in line with expectations
The work New Women by Wang Qingsong was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. It changed hands for a price of HKD 56,250.00 (€ 6,500.85) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Qingsong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Follow Me in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 433,250.00 (€ 550,449.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit New Women von Wang Qingsong wurde im April 2015 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 56.250,00 (€ 6.500,85) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Qingsong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Follow Me im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 433.250,00 (€ 550.449,00).
