Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wang Qingsong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2014. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Follow Me sold for HKD 1,480,000.00 (€ 137,649.60) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Qingsong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Follow Me, which sold at auction in July 2008 for GBP 433,250.00 (€ 550,449.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Qingsong erzielte im April 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Follow Me für HKD 1.480.000,00 (€ 137.649,60) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 500.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Qingsong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Follow Me beobachtet, die im Juli 2008 für GBP 433.250,00 (€ 550.449,00) versteigert wurde.
