Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Can I Cooperate With You? by Wang Qingsong was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 60,000.00 – 100,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 56,250.00 (€ 5,231.61). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Qingsong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Follow Me in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 433,250.00 (€ 550,449.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Can I Cooperate With You? von Wang Qingsong im April 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 56.250,00 (€ 5.231,61) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Qingsong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Follow Me im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 433.250,00 (€ 550.449,00).
