Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Another Battle No.6 by Wang Qingsong was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. The auction ended at the price of HKD 40,000.00 (€ 4,707.17), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Qingsong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Follow Me in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 433,250.00 (€ 550,449.00).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Another Battle No.6 von Wang Qingsong wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 40.000,00 (€ 4.707,17) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Qingsong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Follow Me im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 433.250,00 (€ 550.449,00).
