Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Totem femme by Wang Keping was sold in the Un regard sur le monde : Collection Comte & Comtesse Jean-Jacques de Flers auction at Christies in Paris in September last year. It changed hands for a price of EUR 57,960.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Keping - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Couple - 1999-2012, which sold at auction in July last year for EUR 157,440.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Totem femme von Wang Keping wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion Un regard sur le monde : Collection Comte & Comtesse Jean-Jacques de Flers bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 57.960,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Keping mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Couple - 1999-2012 beobachtet, die im Juli letzten Jahres für EUR 157.440,00 versteigert wurde.
