Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June this year Artcurial in Paris held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Couple by Wang Keping. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 60,352.00 21% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Keping - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Couple - 1999-2012, which sold at auction in July last year for EUR 157,440.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Couple von Wang Keping zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 60.352,00 und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Keping mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Couple - 1999-2012 beobachtet, die im Juli letzten Jahres für EUR 157.440,00 versteigert wurde.
