Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Femme Timide - 1995 by Wang Keping was sold in the Monaco Sculptures auction at Artcurial in Monte-Carlo in July 2021. The price achieved of EUR 51,490.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Keping - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Couple - 1999-2012, which sold at auction in July last year for EUR 157,440.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Femme Timide - 1995 von Wang Keping wurde im Juli 2021 in der Auktion Monaco Sculptures bei Artcurial in Monte-Carlo versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 51.490,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Keping mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Couple - 1999-2012 beobachtet, die im Juli letzten Jahres für EUR 157.440,00 versteigert wurde.
