Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2018 Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale, which included the work Kissing Couple by Wang Keping. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 212,500.00 (€ 23,984.37). Admittedly, works by Wang Keping have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Couple - 1999-2012 in July last year with an auction result of EUR 157,440.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2018 führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kissing Couple von Wang Keping zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 212.500,00 (€ 23.984,37) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Keping auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Couple - 1999-2012 im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 157.440,00.
