Sold at the lower estimate price
In October 2018 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Landscape After Ju Ran by Wang Jian. The result of HKD 350,000.00 (€ 39,410.52) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 350,000.00 – 450,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Jian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape After Old Masters in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 1,450,000.00 (€ 1,349,967.41).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2018 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape After Ju Ran von Wang Jian zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 350.000,00 (€ 39.410,52) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 350.000,00 – 450.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Jian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape After Old Masters im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.450.000,00 (€ 1.349.967,41).
