Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Landscape After Huang Gongwang by Wang Jian for HKD 118,750.00 (€ 13,371.43). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 120,000.00 – 160,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Jian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape After Old Masters in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 1,450,000.00 (€ 1,349,967.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Landscape After Huang Gongwang von Wang Jian für HKD 118.750,00 (€ 13.371,43) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 160.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Jian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape After Old Masters im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.450.000,00 (€ 1.349.967,41).
