Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape After Ancient Masters by Wang Jian was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. The price achieved of HKD 3,000,000.00 (€ 328,690.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 2,500,000.00 – 4,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Jian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape After Old Masters in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 1,450,000.00 (€ 1,349,967.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape After Ancient Masters von Wang Jian kam im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 3.000.000,00 (€ 328.690,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 2.500.000,00 – 4.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Jian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape After Old Masters im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.450.000,00 (€ 1.349.967,41).
