Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wang Xizhi’S Manuscripts In Cursive Script by Wang Duo was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. It changed hands for a price of HKD 2,125,000.00 (€ 242,884.36) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 1,800,000.00 – 2,200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Duo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poems in Cursive Script Calligraphy in May 2011 with an auction result of HKD 32,020,000.00 (€ 2,864,337.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wang Xizhi’S Manuscripts In Cursive Script von Wang Duo kam im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 2.125.000,00 (€ 242.884,36) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 1.800.000,00 – 2.200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Duo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poems in Cursive Script Calligraphy im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 32.020.000,00 (€ 2.864.337,79).
