Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy by Wang Duo was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at POLY in Hong Kong in July last year. The price achieved of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 7,486.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Duo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poems in Cursive Script Calligraphy in May 2011 with an auction result of HKD 32,020,000.00 (€ 2,864,337.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Wang Duo wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 7.486,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Duo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poems in Cursive Script Calligraphy im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 32.020.000,00 (€ 2.864.337,79).
