Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work After Chu Suiliang’s Jia Zhi Tie in Running Script by Wang Duo was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2020. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 6,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 6,365,000.00 (€ 697,371.33). Admittedly, works by Wang Duo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Poems in Cursive Script Calligraphy in May 2011 with an auction result of HKD 32,020,000.00 (€ 2,864,337.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit After Chu Suiliang’s Jia Zhi Tie in Running Script von Wang Duo wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 6.000.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 6.365.000,00 (€ 697.371,33) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Duo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Poems in Cursive Script Calligraphy im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 32.020.000,00 (€ 2.864.337,79).
