Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Calligraphy In Cursive Script by Wang Chong was sold in the Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2018. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 306,800.00 (€ 34,546.13). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Chong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Regular Script in April this year with an auction result of HKD 600,000.00 (€ 612,717.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Cursive Script von Wang Chong wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 300.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 306.800,00 (€ 34.546,13) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Chong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Regular Script im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 600.000,00 (€ 612.717,39).
