Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Poem In Cursive Script by Wang Chong for USD 37,500.00 (€ 30,438.31). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 38,000.00 – 48,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Chong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Regular Script in April this year with an auction result of HKD 600,000.00 (€ 612,717.39).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Poem In Cursive Script von Wang Chong für USD 37.500,00 (€ 30.438,31) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 38.000,00 – 48.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Chong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Regular Script im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 600.000,00 (€ 612.717,39).
