A top price for Wang Chong
This artwork by Wang Chong achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April this year. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphy In Regular Script sold for HKD 600,000.00 (€ 612,717.39) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00. This high result makes Calligraphy In Regular Script the most expensive artwork by Wang Chong that we have observed at auctions so far.
