Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy In Running Script by Wang Chong was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. The price achieved of HKD 151,200.00 (€ 16,746.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 220,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Chong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Regular Script in April this year with an auction result of HKD 600,000.00 (€ 612,717.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Wang Chong kam im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 151.200,00 (€ 16.746,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 220.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Chong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Regular Script im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 600.000,00 (€ 612.717,39).
