In October 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Torsions by Walter Leblanc. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,837.50 (€ 12,839.51), 55% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Leblanc achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Twisted Strings in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 187,500.00 (€ 213,786.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 55 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Torsions von Walter Leblanc zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.837,50 (€ 12.839,51) und damit 55% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walter Leblanc erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Twisted Strings im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 187.500,00 (€ 213.786,70).
