A top price for Walter Leblanc - as previously expected
The work Twisted Strings by Walter Leblanc was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction at Phillips in London in October 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 180,000.00 – 220,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 187,500.00 (€ 213,786.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Twisted Strings is the most expensive artwork by Walter Leblanc that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Twisted Strings von Walter Leblanc wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 180.000,00 – 220.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 187.500,00 (€ 213.786,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Twisted Strings das teuerste Kunstwerk von Walter Leblanc, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
