Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work The Loiterers by Walter Frederick Osborne for GBP 52,500.00 (€ 73,434.39). This price was achieved in the auction Irish Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Frederick Osborne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dorothy And Irene Falkiner in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 580,500.00 (€ 738,421.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Loiterers von Walter Frederick Osborne für GBP 52.500,00 (€ 73.434,39) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Irish Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walter Frederick Osborne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dorothy And Irene Falkiner im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 580.500,00 (€ 738.421,37).
