Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Loiterers by Walter Frederick Osborne was sold in the British & Irish Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2013. The price achieved of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 75,210.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Walter Frederick Osborne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dorothy And Irene Falkiner in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 580,500.00 (€ 738,421.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Loiterers von Walter Frederick Osborne wurde im November 2013 in der Auktion British & Irish Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 75.210,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Walter Frederick Osborne auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dorothy And Irene Falkiner im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 580.500,00 (€ 738.421,37).
