Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Castletown Of Braemar by Waller Hugh Paton was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2009. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,587.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Waller Hugh Paton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Loch Achray - 'The pleased lake' in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 45,600.00 (€ 67,103.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Castletown Of Braemar von Waller Hugh Paton kam im April 2009 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.587,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Waller Hugh Paton erzielen.
