Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2014 Christies in London held the auction The Neil Wilson Collection: A Romantic Vision, which included the work A Scottish moor by Waller Hugh Paton. The price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,123.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Waller Hugh Paton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Loch Achray - 'The pleased lake' in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 45,600.00 (€ 67,103.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Neil Wilson Collection: A Romantic Vision durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Scottish moor von Waller Hugh Paton zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 1.123,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Waller Hugh Paton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Loch Achray - 'The pleased lake' im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 45.600,00 (€ 67.103,49).
