Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Dreamthorp by Waller Hugh Paton for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,642.02). This price was achieved in the auction Scottish Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Waller Hugh Paton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Loch Achray - 'The pleased lake' in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 45,600.00 (€ 67,103.49).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Dreamthorp von Waller Hugh Paton für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.642,02) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Waller Hugh Paton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Loch Achray - 'The pleased lake' im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 45.600,00 (€ 67.103,49).
