In May 2007 Christies in London held the auction The Scottish Sale, which included the work Loch Achray - 'The pleased lake' by Waller Hugh Paton. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 45,600.00 (€ 67,103.49), 30% above the upper estimate. With this result, Loch Achray - 'The pleased lake' is even the most expensive work of art by Waller Hugh Paton that we have observed at auctions so far.
