Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work White Flowers by Waldo Peirce for USD 875.00 (€ 670.34). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Waldo Peirce achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Penobscot Gals in November last year with an auction result of USD 28,050.00 (€ 27,172.33).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit White Flowers von Waldo Peirce für USD 875,00 (€ 670,34) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Waldo Peirce erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Penobscot Gals im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.050,00 (€ 27.172,33).
