Despite a disappointment, a good price for Waldo Peirce
This work of art by Waldo Peirce could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in November last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art auction, the work Penobscot Gals changed hands for USD 28,050.00 (€ 27,172.33) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, Penobscot Gals is the most expensive artwork by Waldo Peirce that we have observed at auction so far.
