The work Spinario by Vojtěch Kovařík was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in March this year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 40,320.00 (€ 45,871.79), 34% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Vojtěch Kovařík have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Aphrodite in May this year with an auction result of USD 378,000.00 (€ 354,796.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Spinario von Vojtěch Kovařík wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 40.320,00 (€ 45.871,79) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vojtěch Kovařík auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Aphrodite im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 378.000,00 (€ 354.796,32).
