Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fight between Hercules and Apollo for the Tripod by Vojtěch Kovařík was sold in the 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale auction at Christies in London in October this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 88,200.00 (€ 101,278.10) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vojtěch Kovařík - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Aphrodite, which sold at auction in May this year for USD 378,000.00 (€ 354,796.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fight between Hercules and Apollo for the Tripod von Vojtěch Kovařík wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 88.200,00 (€ 101.278,10) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Vojtěch Kovařík mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Aphrodite beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für USD 378.000,00 (€ 354.796,32) versteigert wurde.
