Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An architectural capriccio with figures by Viviano Codazzi was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2017. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,461.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Viviano Codazzi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ruderi di un edificio di ordine tuscanico, con un paesaggio mediterraneo sullo sfondo ed il tempio di Vesta, con astanti vari in December 2002 with an auction result of EUR 99,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit An architectural capriccio with figures von Viviano Codazzi kam im Juli 2017 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.461,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Viviano Codazzi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ruderi di un edificio di ordine tuscanico, con un paesaggio mediterraneo sullo sfondo ed il tempio di Vesta, con astanti vari im Dezember 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 99.200,00.
