Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work A Capriccio Of The Exterior Of An Elaborate Palace With Saint Peter Healing The Lame; A Capriccio Of The Internal Courtyard Of A Ruined Palace With The Miracle Of Saint Paul by Viviano Codazzi for GBP 67,250.00 (€ 80,541.37). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 70,000.00 – 100,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Viviano Codazzi have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in December 2002 by the work Ruderi di un edificio di ordine tuscanico, con un paesaggio mediterraneo sullo sfondo ed il tempio di Vesta, con astanti vari at EUR 99,200.00.

Im Dezember 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Capriccio Of The Exterior Of An Elaborate Palace With Saint Peter Healing The Lame; A Capriccio Of The Internal Courtyard Of A Ruined Palace With The Miracle Of Saint Paul von Viviano Codazzi für GBP 67.250,00 (€ 80.541,37) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 70.000,00 – 100.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Viviano Codazzi wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Dezember 2002 die Arbeit Ruderi di un edificio di ordine tuscanico, con un paesaggio mediterraneo sullo sfondo ed il tempio di Vesta, con astanti vari mit EUR 99.200,00.
