Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Works on Paper Sale, which included the work Jong meisje met een brood (Young Girl with a Loaf of Bread) by Vincent van Gogh. The price achieved of USD 504,000.00 (€ 462,046.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vincent van Gogh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Verger avec cyprès in November last year with an auction result of USD 117,180,000.00 (€ 113,513,513.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Works on Paper Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jong meisje met een brood (Young Girl with a Loaf of Bread) von Vincent van Gogh zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 504.000,00 (€ 462.046,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vincent van Gogh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Verger avec cyprès im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 117.180.000,00 (€ 113.513.513,51).
