Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Judgement of Paris by Vincent Malo the Elder was sold in the Old Master, 19th Century & British Drawings & Watercolours auction at Christies in London in December 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,609.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vincent Malo the Elder achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Continence De Scipion in May last year with an auction result of EUR 30,240.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Judgement of Paris von Vincent Malo the Elder wurde im Dezember 2010 in der Auktion Old Master, 19th Century & British Drawings & Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.609,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vincent Malo the Elder erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Continence De Scipion im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 30.240,00.
