Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Presepe by Vincent Malo the Elder was auctioned at Il Ponte in April last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 10,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 9,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vincent Malo the Elder - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Continence De Scipion, which sold at auction in May last year for EUR 30,240.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Presepe von Vincent Malo the Elder im April letzten Jahres bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 9.500,00 den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Vincent Malo the Elder mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La Continence De Scipion beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für EUR 30.240,00 versteigert wurde.
