Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Bonhams held the auction Home & Interiors, which included the work Still lifes of fruit, a pair each 30.8 x 46cm (12 1/8 x 18 1/8in). (2) by Vincent Clare. The price achieved of GBP 956.25 (€ 1,089.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Vincent Clare have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Primroses, apple blossom, and a wicker basket, on a mossy bank; and Plums and grapes on a mossy bank in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 5,875.00 (€ 9,312.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Home & Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still lifes of fruit, a pair each 30.8 x 46cm (12 1/8 x 18 1/8in). (2) von Vincent Clare zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 956,25 (€ 1.089,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vincent Clare auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Primroses, apple blossom, and a wicker basket, on a mossy bank; and Plums and grapes on a mossy bank im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.875,00 (€ 9.312,60).
