Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Primroses and a bird's nest on a mossy bank by Vincent Clare. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 875.00 (€ 988.16). Admittedly, works by Vincent Clare have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Primroses, apple blossom, and a wicker basket, on a mossy bank; and Plums and grapes on a mossy bank in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 5,875.00 (€ 9,312.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Primroses and a bird's nest on a mossy bank von Vincent Clare zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 875,00 (€ 988,16) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vincent Clare auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Primroses, apple blossom, and a wicker basket, on a mossy bank; and Plums and grapes on a mossy bank im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.875,00 (€ 9.312,60).
